The story so far
It was during the summer of 2006 that I began to realise that I should stop fighting the feeling that a ‘normal’ way of life was not for me. Twice in my life I have been in a serious relationship and twice have I been left heartbroken and homeless. God knows I’ve tried to make a success of my life so far but when all is said and done I’ve failed. I’m not bitter, I’ve had some of my happiest times during these periods and of course I do have my beautiful daughter Nicole just about to start university but, 2006 could easily have gone down as the worst year of my life but the rain eased, the clouds started to lift and I suddenly saw a way forward, a way to survive, something to put meaning back into my life. If I have learnt anything from these experiences it is that looking back does no good, in the words of the great Steve Earle.
" When you get to that horizon there’s always someplace else to be so don’t you stop to look behind you cus you’ve got some travellin still to do. Its all up to you ………"
