The Big Move Next
Just a quick update tonight. I’ve been working flat out and now everything is pretty much packed up and ready to head South. The wagons are due in Monday lunchtime and after loading we have a 200 mile road trip down to Weir Quay, arriving Tuesday morning.
It’s been incredibly hard getting everything ready to move, remember it’s not just the boat that’s moving. it’s everything we possess. Despite being pretty ruthless with getting rid of stuff there’s still a frightening amount aboard ‘Gleda’, probably too much. But it’ll all be sorted in due course we just need to get down to the yard and get organised, it’ll be fine.
I did take a short break from sorting and packing to get the name painted on the bows, I think it looks good.
Here’s a few shots of all the bits and pieces sitting around ready for the wagons.
This will be the last update from the landlocked Midlands. Next stop Weir Quay. I’ll update with video and pictures as soon as I can.
Wish us luck !
