It Is As It Is
Sometimes you just have to accept that life gets in the way of boatbuilding. There’s no point stressing when other demands prevent work on the boat it’s just the way it is and the most important thing is to keep focused and get back to things as soon as you can. For me it’s looking like Thursday will be my next opportunity and and I’m planning to spend three days building before the week is out to make up for the loss of the last week.
So true.
One thing that has stuck with me when it comes to practicing the piano is to every day, touch the keys. Literally. If I just sit down for 5 seconds, and play one note, that is success for the day.
Not sure what that would be in your case… a couple swipes with some sandpaper? A quick push of the broom? Or maybe more directly, just ‘touch the boat’. Walk out there, and put your hand on the boat for 5 seconds. Then go about your day.
It seems silly, but man can it be a good habit.
