Going To Be Cold
Another productive stint today. I assembled the second backbone, glued it together, fixed and glued the ply butt straps and the skeg and keel doublers. To finish off I cleaned up the scarf joints I made yesterday on the long hullside flanges. I don’t anticipate getting much else done this week now, the forecast is for winter to arrive, with freezing temperatures and the possibility of snow. OK its the UK and we don’t really have winter but it will be cold enough to make epoxy work impossible in my unheated barn. At this stage I don’t really have any other work that can be done.
The photo shows the scarfs I did yesterday, they are only short because the hullside flange is epoxied and screwed to the backbone.
