For One Night Only
We’re in a new ‘spot’. But just for tonight.
Looking back towards Alvor from our new ‘spot’
This afternoon after 30 nights anchored near Alvor town, we picked up the hook and, using the last of the ebb tide, motored the 1.5 miles down to the lagoon entrance.
We said ‘see you later’ to Gary and June on ‘Friendship’ on the way past. They arrived a couple of days ago and are staying a few days more. We’ll see them again down the ways I’m sure.
We’re stopping here tonight then, at first light tomorrow, heading South and East toward the Guadiana River.
The photo below shows our planned route. It’s just short of 70 nautical miles.
I’m making no predictions about how long it’ll take us or where we’ll end up. The winds are forecast light but from the right direction. We’ve heard that before. The ‘plan’ will change I’m sure.
We just want to get out there, we just want to get sailing again, we’re both ready for it.
Catch you later.
