I am sure that, if you spend several hours a day in front of a mirror for a few weeks , you will be able to raise just one eyebrow. That’s all I know. Woody Allen said that 90% of life is just showing up.

  2. You are providing a very healthy and important counterpoint to Neil’s lofty goals, which makes you (at least for the time being;-) his perfect companion for this journey.
We turn to our dreams because we cannot bear the weight of reality. Those who follow their dreams without extreme caution sooner or later will be in for a rather rude awakening. Which is, of course, an extremely refreshing thing to do. Some of us do it every morning!

Chuck – I’ll keep practising with the eyebrow. My best friend has always been able to do it. I’m very envious of the extra facial expressions she has. I think a one eyebrow raise = “really”, without words. Glad I’m 90% there – showing up I can do.

Beat – I’m looking forward to starting our adventure, to seeing Neil realise his dream and sail the boat he has spent many hours/years building.

Gail when I was much younger I was a fan of the uber New Romantic David Sylvian and Japan See: http://imgfave.com/view/2191600

He got so good at the raised eyebrow he’s still got it even though he no longer has “it” if you know what I mean.

I’d be very careful what you wish for! If the wind changes direction you’ll be stuck with it!
