996Hrs – Watershed Days
These are watershed days, things are changing, fear of the unknown is creeping in, but I feel energised and Gleda is feeding that energy. She is seems to be growing quickly just now and giving me tantalising glimpses of what she will become. I am making the most of this time and my work sessions are focused and productive. Today I glued in the shelving sections, key sanded all the bulkhead edges, drilled through and put wire at all the stringer locations and then got all 8 upper stringers roughly positioned. The job went well and was achieved without any splitting or damage to the stringers. I used loops in the wire so that I could ‘thread’ the stringers through roughly in position and supported whilst I manoeuvred them into position. I then loosely placed all the remaining bulkheads and beam trough sides so that I could really get a feel for their final positions. After a good clean up I was able to stand back and really admire the beautiful shape of the hulls.
