989Hrs – Preocccupied
The metaphorical storm clouds continue to gather and it is going to be a rough few days, I am being blown onto a lee shore and I don’t know what damage will be done when I hit, I am preoccupied with the danger and I can’t switch off even when building. I worked on autopilot tonight but somehow still managed to get some decent work done. I cleaned up after last nights gluing and then started work on the two long shelves that run along the hull opposite the seat/companionway supports. As before I have dry fitted support timbers to allow modification later and I have used the ratchet straps to pull out the last of the ‘wobble’. Both shelving sections are ready to glue tomorrow.
Photo right shows the port hull looking aft into what will be the galley area. The wider seat section on the left is finished and is the one that will support the companionway. The narrower shelf section on the right is dry fitted. I am using the ratchet strap to pull out the ‘wobble’ and have screwed a temporary block onto the lower stringer so that the strap pulls in the hullside without moving the shelf section.
