962Hrs – Scarf Ace
I hadn’t expected to get any work done today but in the event I managed to get a 3 hour ‘bonus’ session in. I got the sail locker floor first stage glued, it will need a bit of glassing and filleting tomorrow to finish off. I then decided to scarf up the upper stringer timber, I had previously used a clamping, marking and planing method to do this but it still seemed a little tedious. I hit on the idea of making up a hardboard template to speed up the marking and then just cutting them with a precision blade iin the jigsaw. It worked a treat and I was able to get all the joints cut in record time…. just call me scarf ace!
