959Hrs – Long Day
My day went as planned today and I was able to put in 8 productive hours. I cracked on with the forward section of the starboard hull and now only have the sail locker floor to glue in and I can move on to other things. Today I got all the underfloor sections sanded and painted, glued in the No 2/3 bulkhead above my new lower bulkhead section and fitted the sail locker floor support joinery. I also marked and cut out the final two beam trough side sections. Following the rough weather of the last week there was a build up of leaves and debris scattered through the barn so that prompted me to have a really good clear up, I also sorted out all the timber I will need for the upper stringers. All in all I’m well pleased with todays work and feel like I am ready to move to the next phase, setting up and fixing the main upper bulkheads.
Here you can see how the loo sits on the new floor with the sail locker up forward.
