944Hrs – She’s Growing On Me!
A cold, wet, dark miserable day weather-wise but I’m pleased with the progress I’ve made. I gave the toilet and shower components their second coat of epoxy and then moved onto marking and cutting out the remaining upper bulkheads and the beam trough sides. As before these needed careful work to draw them out correctly so I took my time. I also coated up another full sheet of 12mm ply for the second set of beam trough doublers. The doubler up at bulkhead 1 has a measurement which the plans say needs checking with the actual hull and is measured in relation to the stringers. I decided therefore to have a play and to temporarily wire in a few stringers to the bulkheads to help me see things more clearly. It was fun to do and suddenly the beautiful shape of the full height bow section started to appear. A nice way to brighten a miserable day!
