902Hrs – Past Masters
There was no work done yesterday due to a late return from a trip to London to see the exhibition of objects from the tomb of Tutenkamun and other ancient Egyptian Kings. It’s a truly stunning exhibition and its almost impossible to believe that the objects are over 3500 years old. Some look as if they were just made yesterday and what surprised me the most were how many were made from wood. This model boat was made from wood coated in resin! Now I had always thought that I was building Gleda to last but now I’m thinking she could be around a lot longer than I thought!
Talking of resin I got the last coat applied to the four 12mm sheets tonight and I hope to start cutting some bulkheads tomorrow.
