804Hrs – A Lick Of Paint?
My paint arrived today, it’s a chlorinated rubber paint most commonly used for swimming pools but it also has some marine applications as it is highly water resistant. I am giving it a go because I got it FOC from a supplier I deal with at work. Before I dive in there and start slapping it on I must make sure that it works so tonight I’ve painted a piece of epoxy coated ply to see how it keys. It seems OK initially but I will try scraping it off in the morning. I’m hoping that it keys well as I don’t really want to use my expensive epoxy primer in bilges and watertight compartments… we’ll see. My other job tonight was to construct the supports for the gas locker floor in the stern compartment of the port hull, I forgot to make them at the weekend… must pay more attention!
