638Hrs – Finding The Balance
There are many challenges to a project like this and one of the major ones is finding the correct balance of build time, gainful employment, family and friends, relationships, basic life functions and socialising. Sometimes the balance tips against build time and that’s been the case this week. I always feel guilty when it happens but mostly it’s down to me. I will attempt to redress the balance next week. Today I have cracked on with the backbone fillets in the starboard hull. I’ve pretty much finished the aft compartment and made a good start on the next. My technique is improving, I’ve found the right proportion of filler for non slumping fillets and cut up a few long strips of flexible PVC that worked perfectly as applicators. They also helped get the fibreglass tape well bedded before saturating.
