469Hrs – Ready For Sheathing
OK, tonight I finished sanding, gave the hulls a good wash off with water and a Scotchbrite pad, rinsed them and then dried off with paper towels. My roll of PeelPly has arrived, I have everything else I need, I am off work for the next 5 days, no more excuses. tomorrow I go for it! I’m apprehensive but at the same time I’m really looking forward to taking a big leap forward. I’ll keep you posted!
As an aside I recently stumbled across the website of an organisation called Oceanswatch. Oceanswatch was set up to support those who aim to research and conserve the marine environment and to provide humanitarian assistance to island communities. They are going to use a specially fitted out Wharram Islander 65. I really admire what they are trying to achieve, have a look at the site.
