3889Hrs – Sting In The Tail
It has to be said, today was a bit of a drag, after a disturbed night thanks to a migraine, I spent the entire work session in the cabin sanding. I’ve grown to dislike epoxy filleting but I dislike sanding even more. The face mask is uncomfortable, even with safety glasses the dust gets in your eyes, and they still haven’t invented a sander that doesn’t blow right in your face at some point. Not only is the work itself a chore but it then leaves a huge mess to clean up before you can do anything else.
At one point I caught my foot on the cable for my work light and pulled it down smashing the bulb, and as I moved through the cabin I realised that there is far more filleting left to do than I realised, not least the stringers under the aft deck.
It’s going to take me at least all day tomorrow to get the cabin anywhere near ready for paint, it seems I’m not out of the woods yet.
Oh and the weather’s been shite, persistent rain all day and much colder.
Maybe a swimming glasses with big lens would give more protection?
