3813Hrs – More Focus Needed
Once again it’s been a day of mixed work but tomorrow I intend to focus my attention better and concentrate on the main sleeping cabin, I really need to get that moved forward.
I’ve been able to finish one major job today though, I got the last coats of paint on the masts, well at least until they arrive at the Weir Quay where I’ll get a final coat applied.
As I need to start getting the barn clear I found a safe place in the yard to store the masts and stern tube until they are loaded onto the wagon.
Other jobs today included epoxy coating and filling the oak mast bases, a bit more work on the galley gas pipework and more cabin fit out work. I spent some time playing with bits of wood to see what might work in terms of storage spaces and I now have some clearer ideas to move forward with tomorrow. My interior joinery is way below Chucks standard but it’ll look OK when it’s painted.
After the major hash I’ve made of my saloon hatch joinery, you have no worries! Having never seen Chuck’s joinery, I was pretty impressed with yours!
Hey Adrian, how’s it going? Yeah joinery exposes our shortcomings eh. Have a look at Chucks site http://acatnameddog.com/ to see how things should be done.
