3805Hrs – OK, Let’s Do This Thing
A good steady day of progress today although I did take a short break in the sunshine to wake my dormant artistic talents and paint the name on ‘Oscar’ the dinghy. It made for an enjoyable interlude.
While I had ‘Oscar’ to hand I also finished fitting a decent towing point.
The mast painting is progressing well, I got two more coats on the foremast today, wise words from your Grandad Darren, thanks.
I also got back to fitting out the main sleeping cabin, I’m reverting to the way of work that suits me best i.e. going with my gut and making it up as I go along. I’ve seen enough pictures of Tiki 38 interiors to know that some built in storage to the sides and above the double berth is a no brainer, so that’s where I started.
I’ve tack glued two shelves in place to form the a base to work from tomorrow. I’m using the same white fibreglass faced ply I used in the toilet compartment.
I finished off with a bit more work on the galley stove gas pipework. I should get that done and dusted tomorrow.
