Be sure to create loops in the runs of copper gas pipe and sleeve it wherever it is in contact with anything.

Use locktite and jointing compound on any compression joints

I’m fussy with gas, it’s my business!!

Cheers Jon, I’m always happy to take advice from professionals. Curious about the loops though, what’s that about? As it happens the pipe does have 3 or 4 90′ bends it but no ‘loops’.

  4. jon sutton says:

A simple u bend in a run of pipe, allows for expantion/contraction without stressing the fixed ends of the pipe, maybe a bit anal, but propane + boat = ;-))

Understood Jon, no shortcuts on this job.

Neil… what ever happend to Oscar the Dinghy? Not happy with it? Such a nice tender

  7. NeilH says:

    Hi Michael
We got rid of Oscar before we left Weir Quay. Too heavy, too unstable, to small. It was a shame but there it is. Ambitions to get a ‘Portland Pudgy’ if the lottery comes up.
