3792Hrs – A Mast Better Day
Thanks for your comments and sympathies guys, I took it steady today and for the most part handled nothing more dangerous than a paint roller. I also managed to keep the paint in the right places which was good.
I’m painting the masts and stern tube with Jotun AlkydPrimer which is a single pack oil based primer/undercoat which can also be left as a top finish. As with all the Jotun products I’ve used on ‘Gleda’ I’m very pleased with it. I plan to apply three coats before leaving the barn and if time allows, another coat before the masts are stepped.
I like the flat finish, looks just right.
In between waiting for coats of paint to dry I put together and epoxied the plinth inside the mast box that the mast foot will sit on.
Back to paid work for two days starting tomorrow but I’ll sneak some time in between and carry on painting.
