3770Hrs – A Job Weld Done
In the grand scheme of things welding a few bits of aluminium together isn’t a big deal, but for me today it seems like one.
I’ve had two long aluminium tubes lying in the dark damp recesses of the barn for years, even after I extracted them a few weeks ago they were still just aluminium tubes, but today they’ve become masts for a boat.
Paul turned up this morning and this time the welding plant worked just fine and in a couple of hours the job was done. That’s testament to Paul’s skill because TIG welding aluminium, particularly when welding thick to thin is very tricky. Cheers Paul
I’ve ordered up some white primer/topcoat so next up is preparation and painting.
Nice seams.
Perfect.
