3672Hrs – New Guttering
I arrived at the barn this morning with no idea what I was going to work on. After cleaning up and sanding down yesterdays glass work on the deck pod roof it struck me that I ought to have a look at the guttering I’d thought about.
I initially thought I’d be leaving this job for later but the other day I realised that without gutters any rain running off the pod roof would shoot straight down the main companionways into the cabins.
Anyway I found a couple of pieces of Douglas Fir and a couple more of Iroko and after a couple of hours I had guttering fitted all the way round. Tomorrow I’ll drill a couple of through hull fittings into the forward corners of the roof, as the roof slopes forward when in place this means I’ll be able to plug on some hose and collect water in jerry cans if needed.
