3642Hrs White (Smallest) Room
A bit of filling, a bit of sanding, a good clean up, and then a fun filled hour operating the spray gun in very confined space. Result; the forward watertight compartment, sail locker and toilet compartment covered with two good coats of primer/undercoat.
Although most of the areas I’ve painted will remain white I think I’ll break things up in the toilet compartment with a bit of light blue. Everything looks a tad stark right now.
Another little job ticked off today was a modification to the Airhead toilet agitator crank. The standard model has a handle to turn but due to ‘Gleda’s’ narrow V hull there wasn’t room to turn it. My solution involved a long handled 10mm ratchet spanner, a 10mm nut, a couple of washers and a turnbuckle bolt. I used an angle grinder to cut off the crank handle and got my mate Charlie to braze the nut onto the stub (cheers Charlie). With the spanner slipped on and the nut holding it in place the agitator can now be operated with a simple back and forth motion.
