3505Hrs – Bumping Along The Bottom
I’ll keep this short as whinging isn’t helpful. The last two days of works sessions have been tough going. Crappy weather, crappy mood, nothing working, you get the picture.
I was re-reading ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho recently and in the forward he talks about the fourth obstacle to realisation of a dream, namely fear, and it’s subconscious effect of self sabotage as achievement of a long worked for goal draws close. Perhaps I’m experiencing just that. It won’t win.
Despite it all I’ve still moved forward though. The second gaff is glued up, the first has had it’s first stage finishing and I’ve started making a roof for the deckpod. It’s still experimental but I think it might just work.
Another typical day of boatbuilding! Sounds familiar………………
You are still achieving – keep at it.
Blame the lousy weather.
Just visualise the sun on the back of your neck,
try to ignore the rain trickling down it!!
