3484Hrs – Rain, Sleet & Snow Day
The Met office have just announced that January in the Southern UK has been the wettest since records began in 1910. Today was truly miserable, temperatures just above freezing, rain, sleet and snow falling regularly, a cold Easterly wind blowing and hardly a trace of daylight.
Painting and epoxy work were out of the question. I tried to keep warm by getting a bit physical and lifting the forward mast box and decks back into position. I got help this time to save my back and once everything was in place I added some additional 2″x 2″ treated softwood stringers to the decks to beef them up a bit.
They’ve made quite a difference and I’m much happier.
I cut the day short and retreated to the warmth. Roll on Summer and a life of following the Sun.
