3328Hrs – Engine Boxes Take 2
Just a short work session today, but I got two coats of primer on the shroud plate backing pads and then spent an hour figuring out how to get the engine boxes back into position for the second time.
Rather than use the somewhat unstable blocks of polystyrene I used last time I started off with two trestles and then using ratchet straps ‘winched’ the box up a bit a time, adding blocks of wood as I went, until it was more or less in position.
Tomorrow I’ll measure, level and adjust before marking the locating holes again, hopefully in the right places this time.
After that I’ll have to drop the box, drill the holes, and then offer up to check again.
Once I’m happy I’ll drop them down for painting.
By the time I get them back into position I should have the method pretty much off pat!
