3300Hrs – Port Engine Box – Made
I completed the final stages of the port engine box construction today by adding four 12mm ply reinforcing pads to the inside of the box, the 32 x 45 deck bearer along the inboard edge and a couple of other strengthener pieces.
Even with fast hardener the epoxy still hadn’t fully cured this morning so I had to work carefully to avoid straining anything.
All that remains now is to give any remaining bare ply and timber a good coat of epoxy, finish off a bit of filleting and fill all the screw holes.
I think I’ll then have to put it to one side for a while before I can get the sander anywhere near it. I’ve got another one to start on anyway.
All a bit slow and unexciting at the moment but I’m still moving forward and that’s the main thing.
No photo today because I only took one and it was crap.
