3259Hrs – Seeing Things Differently
Is anything ‘real’ or is everything simply a creation of individual perception? When I go to the barn and look at ‘Gleda’ am I seeing her as she really is or as my mind has decided she is?
The weight of evidence seems to fall on the latter. The comments left by Chuck and Dirk last night clearly show that they see her differently from me, so who’s right?
The answer is we all are, we create our own reality and it’s clear that the reality I chose to create yesterday was flawed. I knew this yesterday, I know it’s what I do now and again, and yet I keep doing it, the reality I want to see gets fuzzy and a different one comes into focus.
I’ll keep practicing, I’ll start to catch myself sooner, I’ll recognise my mind is playing tricks and I’ll re-focus. I’ll get better.
So thanks for the help guys, Chuck, no nonsense as ever, I know you’ll love what I’ve written above 🙂 Dirk, I’m pleased that in some small way I’ve helped you and I’m in awe of the job you’re doing on ‘Hine Moana’. I just can’t imagine tackling a 46. I’ve added Dirk’s site to my ‘Wharram Builders’ links and you can also check it out HERE.
Today I’ve knuckled down and got some good work done. I glassed the other two sides of the rudders, filled the screw holes and cock-up cuts in the side-decks and smoothed, filled and filleted the outsides of the side-deck lockers.
My 33kg keg of epoxy is down to it’s last dregs but I’ll keep going until it’s exhausted, I can’t afford a re-supply right now. I’ve rattled through a good amount over the past weeks as the photo below shows. An epoxy shack tidy is way overdue.
