3165Hrs – A Ramp, Two Steps & A Platform
A decent day today making the most of what looks like the last day of our Indian Summer. 20’C driving home this afternoon but according to the forecast it’s all about to change.
Anyway I cracked on with the stern ramp, rubbing it down and getting two good coats of primer applied. I’ll flip it over tomorrow and start on the upper side. I’m shopping around for a couple of aluminium ladders to finish it off.
Next up were the deckpod steps. I cut a couple of nicely shaped holes in the front’s, routed the exposed edges, coated them with epoxy and then got them glued into place. I’ll glass the treads and add some anti-slip granules to the paint when I finish them.
To finish off the day I made up the platform that will run alongside the stern ramp between the aft side of the pod and the stern tube. I also want to add an additional platform behind the pod on which I can store additional fuel/water canisters, I’ll work on that tomorrow.
