3144Hrs – Pick’n’Mix Day
I was needed for other work at times today, which meant that work on the boat was sporadic and of variable duration. This made it difficult to press on with anything in particular so I just did what I could when I could.
I actually got quite a lot done on the dinghy in that I stripped off a considerable thickness of green paint and silver oxide primer. It needed several applications of paint stripper, a lot of scraping and, after washing down and allowing to dry, a good sanding, but it’s now all prepared for glassing.
I was pleased to find that the ply and joints beneath all the paint are sound as a pound.
I’m not counting time spent on the dinghy as ‘boatbuilding’ time.
I’ve not had any suggestions for a name but I did come up with ‘2Tiki’, I quite like that.
Boatbuilding work today was confined to finishing off the stern ramp sides and then gluing the whole ramp together.
“Adelg”
She’s looking great mate!
Cheers Chuck
Kinda like that and got me thinking about anagrams like ‘Delga’ ‘Elgad’ ‘Legda’. Sound a bit ‘Lord of The Rings’ though. Still leaning towards ‘2Tiki’ though.
