3119Hrs – Slowwwwww Day
For some reason I seemed to be working in slow motion today, I felt a bit tired physically but my brain had come out in sympathy.
I just plodded around picking up this, putting down that, wondering about with no real sense of purpose.
In 6 hours the sum total of my achievements were, cutting up 16 mahogany strengthening strips to go under the engine box lids (to be fair I had to repurpose some old mahogany for these so it did take a while to reduce it down to usable timber).
Cutting the starboard side deck section, making the starboard side deck supports and epoxying both port and starboard supports to the hulls.
I’ll not be working tomorrow as a party demands my attendance and Sunday I may well be travelling North to collect an exciting e-Bay purchase that should be a super addition to ‘Gledas’ inventory. I’ll keep you in suspense on that one!
Here are the mahogany strips I cut today:
And here you can see the starboard side deck supports epoxied in place. I didn’t want to screw anything to the decks so I just used some gaffer tape to hold them in position until the epoxy sets.
