305 Hrs – Nooooooooooo !!!!!!!
Sorry guys ! I lost the plot there for a short while. That’s what you get for posting in the early hours sitting alone in a lousy hotel room miles from home after a crap day! Reading back I can see now how daft my comments sounds but hey, I wanted this blog to be a record of how I felt at all the stages of this project and in that respect its spot on! Seriously though I want to thank you all for the supportive messages, I quite often mention that I am building Gleda alone but, as those messages show, its not really true. You are all helping me more than you know……..thanks.
Anyway today I have finished prepping the starboard hull, bevelled the hullside bearer, sanded all the glue areas and had a good clean up. Next week I will spend time sourcing some more ply. I already have some leads and combined with those you guys have given me I will sort it. It looks as if actual hands-on work may slow over the next few weeks but I think its probably a good thing. I feel tired, I need a holiday, I need to step back a bit and re-focus. Its not far off a year now since first decided to make this project a reality and although I haven’t been building for all of that time a lot of time and energy went into getting it off the ground. I think slowing down for a few weeks will, in the long run, pay dividends.
