2994Hrs – You Brought Me Sunshine
I well know by now that if I publish a blog post written from the heart it will elicit some responses. If I’m buzzing and happy about something they’ll be congratulatory, if, as yesterday, I’m down and weary, they’ll be words of encouragement.
Just because I’ve come to expect them doesn’t mean I take them for granted and neither do I write in an attempt to encourage them, I just write what I feel and take strength from any support that is returned, each and everyone of you that has taken the time and trouble to comment on my posts over the years is a shareholder in my acheivements.
I’ve said it many times before and I’ll keep on saying it….. Thank you.
Today the Summer returned with sunshine and some of the highest temperatures of the year, I decided to take it easy today, finish the jobs in hand and then tidy the workshop ready for my next task list assault.
I sanded down and fitted the sliding hatch, cut out the recess on the starboard hull tumblehome and glued in the two perspex portlight frames I made yesterday. Tidying the workshop took me longer!
Here are some photos of the sliding hatch in place, I’ve not fixed the slider permanently yet as theoretically I can move the whole lot over to the starboard hull and use it as a pattern to make that one.
This photo shows the hatch opening ready to slide:
These other photos show the portlight cutout in the starboard hull and the frame glued into place:
