2964Hrs – Back To Work
As predicted events have conspired to keep me away from ‘Gleda’ for nearly a week now, it was my choice and it wasn’t all work so I have no complaints, but I’m now looking forward to getting back to some boatbuilding.
The weather has continued to hold although it looks as if there might be a breakdown next week. I very aware that time is passing and in a few short months the tide will be ebbing again so I absolutely have to make the most of it.
Today I got some topcoat on the aft section of the deckpod but my main task was to make a start on the main hatch coamings. It was slow work as I worked out the best method to use, carefully cut the timber and temporarily screwed it into place. I’m pretty clear what I’m doing now and I have just the last two pieces that hold the washboard in place left to do. After that I can think about the hatch itself.
Apologies if you couldn’t access the site during the last 24 hours. It was hacked and it took a while to sort it out. You may also have noticed that I’ve not been Tweeting as much either, that’s because my old faithful iPhone 3Gs self-destructed and a new smartphone isn’t an option right now so I can’t do anything whilst out and about.
