2940Hrs – Irregular Progress
Other demands and commitments have resulted in boatbuilding work being somewhat irregular for most of this week. I’m lucky though in that some of the paid work that I do is at the same place where ‘Gleda’ is kept which means I can instantly switch from one type of work to another when the opportunity arises.
As a result I’ve totalled up about 10 hours over the last four days which has allowed me to get two coats of epoxy primer and two coats of topcoat on the underside of the deckpod, get the pod turned the right way up again, and also have a bit of a play with the pulpit design.
The photos below show the deckpod as it is now, if you look closely you can see eight drain holes that I’ve drilled in the floor.
This last photo shows the early stages of an experimental pulpit design I’m playing with. I’ve re-purposed some curved mahogany show jump arena capping to form what I hope could be a great framework for the pulpit…. we’ll see.
