2752Hrs – Blowing Old Boots
It has to be said that the weather is continuing to be pretty damn lousy. Not only was it cold today with frequent heavy showers of rain and hail but there was a strong Northerly wind blowing.
Winds from the North blow right through the barn and it made work today a tad uncomfortable. Not only did it make it feel colder than it actually was but the frequent gusts kept blowing up grit and dust into my face. Anything not secured down tended to get moved about and all in all I got a bit fed up with it.
I persevered none the less and made a start getting the tops of the beams glassed. After a sand down I pre-coated with neat epoxy, laid in the glass biax tape, saturated it with resin, stipple rolled it and then covered it with PeelPly.
It’s an operation I’m pretty familiar with by now and all went smoothly. I got the aft and mast beams done before I ran for cover.
