2732Hrs – Ready For The Panama Canal !
After the slightly technical work of measuring, drilling and manufacturing I did yesterday it was back to mundane epoxy work today.
I’ve glued on all the cleats and compression pads and I’ve filleted one side of the mast beam.
All boring stuff but it’s progress just the same.
I’m really pleased with the cleats, they’ll be just the job for taking the lines when passing through the Panama Canal!
Fantastic meeting in Sète. Met James and Hanneke, had wonderful conversations. Got the official stamp for the wharram conformity of Pilgrim. We sailed with Largyalo (the pahi 63 of Petra and Bertie) and we impressed the fleet with our good speed under every condition (even light and upwind) during the races. I will send you nice pictures as soon as i can.
Hey Jacques, sounds like a good time was had by all. Pretty scary having James and Hanneke giving Pilgrim an inspection eh? Glad she passed with flying colours there was never any doubt that she would.
Looking forward to seeing the pictures, I need to see some sunshine because there’s none here yet!
