2635Hrs – Warming Up
It was 15’C at the barn today, OK it was windy and a bit wet but boy is it nice to be able to work without hat, gloves and thick coat. Fingers crossed for it to last.
Nothing terribly exciting to report today, I’ve just cracked on with the saloon table, cutting and fitting the last hull side mounting block and epoxy sealing the cut edges of the drop leaf.
I’ve ordered up some stainless steel piano hinge off eBay so with a bit of luck I’ll get the job finished by the end of the week.
The rest of the day was spent in the saloon area finishing off epoxy fillets and fitting the ply doublers under the mast beam support.
If that’s particle board based, make sure you use longer screws in the piano hinge. A thought: should it fold up rather than down?????
