2558Hrs – Happy Galley Slave!
As the build moves forward I’m starting to accumulate a big list of non-technical jobs like painting inside the cabins so it was really nice to have Gails help for a few hours today.
She did a grand job putting primer undercoat on areas of the galley that are pretty much finished. As I’ve said before I’ve found that a quick coat of white makes it much easier to identify the places that need a bit more sanding or filling before moving on to the final coats of paint.
While Gail was painting away I cracked on and got all 14 reinforcing pads glued to the hulls and filleted round. Next job will be to glass them over.
It’s likely to be Thursday before the next work session as I have a desk day tomorrow and then we’re off down to Plymouth for a couple of days to reconnoiter the Tamar as a possible launch site. I don’t know how much wifi access I’ll have but I’ll tweet and post updates when I can. Hopefully I’ll have some exciting news to report 🙂
