2531Hrs – Galley Slaving
I’ve continued with the galley work today and at last I feel like I’m making some progress. My mood was helped by the fact that the temperature rose a degree or two and we even saw some sunshine this afternoon, the first in over a week.
My main jobs today were to get some white undercoat on the reas beneath the inboard worktop which will become difficult to access with a paint brush once I’ve glued the top on.
I also made and glued in the shelf above this worktop and made a good start on the outboard one as well. I also did a lot of epoxy filleting of joints around the galley generally.
Tomorrow I want to get all the galley joinery finished and undercoat as much as I can. If the weather continues to improve I’ll get back to the lashing strake spacer blocks later in the week.
