For us folks in the Northern hemisphere January is well known as the bleakest month, the lack of sunshine, the freezing temperatures they all add up to sap energy and sap the spirit. I’d be lying if I said I was immune.
I know it won’t last, there’s the trip to Cornwall at the end of the month when the sea air will undoubtably blow all these feelings of depression away, until then I’ll just keep my head down and do what I can.

The forecasters have built the next 24 hours up into some sort of ‘Snowmageddon’ so who knows what we’ll wake up to in the morning but if the ‘red sky in the morning’ folklore is right then the sight that greeted me on the way out this morning seems to back them up!
