2316Hrs – Galley Taking Shape
I hadn’t given much thought to how long this galley work would take. Not much point really it’s all got to be done and when you’re making it up as you go along as I am it’s bound to take longer. It looks as if we’re going to get a long awaited respite from the weeks of wet weather over the next few days as well as exceptionally mild temperatures for the time of year so I might well be doing some hull painting for a change tomorrow.
Today though I cut and glued in the sides to the cooker space, finalised the size for the cool box and boxed that in then started making the cutlery drawer.
As always pictures are better than words.
I’ll be insulating this space with dense 75mm (3″) foam supplemented by expanding foam to fill in the small voids. I also had a pleasant surprise when I realised that the space under the cooker is big enough to take the portable 12v cool box I already have. It’ll do nicely until I can afford that nice drawer fridge.
Off the shelf cutlery tray, custom built drawer, good use of space.
