2272Hrs – Galley Fun & Waterlines (Again!)
To be honest I’ve not been fantastically productive today but on the other hand I’ve had some fun and I’ve made some progress so it’s all good.
First though I must thank Beat for his comments and advice about the waterline. It strikes me that I’m in danger of turning this into another ‘Tumblehomes saga’ a reference, for those that don’t recall, to the fact that it took me three goes to get those right and it looks like the same will apply to the waterlines!
So no if’s but’s or maybe’s I will listen to those who are far wiser than me and paint the antifouling up to the chine at it’s lowest point. Thanks again to Jacques and Beat for keeping me on track. The job will have to wait a while though until the weather dries out a bit.
By way of a change I decided to spend some time inside the boat today playing with the galley layout. It seemed obvious to concentrate on the big bits first and that meant the worktops. I need to do some research on lightweight worktop surface or formica because I want them to be tough and easy to clean, for now though I used some ply offcuts to cut as templates and mockups so that I could get a feel for the space and how best to use it.
The photo’s show the results of my labours and I’m quite pleased with the result.
