2234Hrs – Nose To The De Walt
There’s a danger when long monotonous tasks come along on a project like this. A danger that by thinking too much about how hard the job is, by thinking about all the more interesting things you could be doing, by thinking about how cold and tired you are ……..you end up procrastinating. You de-motivate yourself, drag the job out, make it appear harder than it is.
There’s only one solution, suck it up, focus on the end and get stuck in!
That’s what I did today. Seven hours solid sanding and I’ve got the starboard hull finished. Total time taken, 11 hours. I now know that I have just two six hour work sessions of hard sanding left to do and then that’s it! Even the deck pod will be a piece of cake compared to two entire hulls and I know that when I start putting paint on again all this work will be well rewarded.
