2223Hrs- Working In The Shadows
I’ve put in two six hour work sessions over the last couple of days and I’m pleased to say that I’ve now got both hulls second filled.
Thanks to Chuck for the tip about lighting the hullsides from low down to cast some shadows. It worked really well and if you look closely at the photo you can see how clearly the raised glass biax tape shows up near the stern (the photo was taken before I filled it!)
So next job… more sanding!
Thanks for all the interesting comments regarding refrigeration. As I suspected when I raised the issue it’s a subject that is guaranteed to spark discussion!
Really interesting thoughts from Sue regarding gas refrigeration. It’s something I’d not considered but on balance I think that my focus on adequate charging and battery capacity leads me away from gas but I’ve not discounted it. My brother also e-mailed me with some info about robust 12v units available in Canada that are mainly marketed to truckers and RV owners. He mentions one in particular, Koolatron as being very popular with boaters. I’ll certainly be doing some more research on all the options before splashing the cash.
