2188Hrs – Transformed Again!
As hoped the day has been dry and sunny and I was able to crack on and get the first coat of primer on the starboard hull as well. It was a tad chilly so the cold weather additive was used again, but I found the application a lot easier than with the port hul because I knew I had working time. Still bloody hard work on the arm and shoulder though, this epoxy primer is quite tacky in application so you have to really work the roller to spread it well.
Once again it was great to step back at the end of the job and take in the view. Over the next few days I’ll work my way round the hulls working on the areas that need a bit more filler then it’ll be another sanding before slapping on the next coat of primer which will be white.
I also did a couple of hours work on the aft beam today, I removed the screws and washers from yesterdays glueing, flipped the beam over and got the other two 45mm x 45mm strengtheners glued on.
