2140Hrs – Burnt Out
Burnt out was actually an accurate description of me on Monday following the half marathon but actually I’m talking about my old Bosch Random Orbital Sander which, after gradually getting slower and slower during yesterdays sanding session, just stopped dead and started emitting blue smoke.
To be fair it was not a top end model and it’s been in use since early in the build so I can’t really complain. So first thing this morning I bimbled down to Screwfix and bought a nice new shiny De Walt.
I spent a bit more than I intended but I’ve still got a hell of a lot of sanding to do before Gleda hits the water so I figured it was worth the investment.
I got another couple of hours done today with my new toy and I’ve now finished the port hull and started on the starboard. I’m planning to hit it fairly hard over the next couple of days as I’d really like to see the back of this first stage sanding sometime soon.
