2086Hrs- Wash Day
Well I really dug deep today and threw myself into sanding the port hull. I got it finished and then used the farms jet wash to give both hulls a thorough wash off to get rid of the ghastly glass fibre dust and to give the filler coat the best possible surface to stick to.
Despite my protective clothing my arms and legs are itching tonight with glass fibre rash and my arms and back are aching from the physical exertion of wielding the sanders all day but I’m well pleased with myself. I’ve got another big job out of the way and after a day off tomorrow I can start having some fun with the filler.
As I sanded away today I started to imagine what the completed hulls will look like with a nice smooth finish and some good coats of paint. Seeing the hulls come together as one will be very exciting, I’ve spent too long thinking of lower and upper hulls separately. Guess that means I’ll have to start thinking about the colour scheme soon. I’m open to suggestions!
