2011 – The Big One
Hi all, I hope you had a great holiday wherever you were and whatever you were doing. I spent the whole time in Cornwall and had a great chillout, a digital cleanse and a chance to look back at 2010 and, more importantly, ahead to 2011. Scarily my scheduled launch can now be described as ‘next year’!
I don’t intend to spend much time looking back at 2010 other than to state the obvious, i.e. I didn’t get enough build time. It would be easy to blame the coldest winter weather in decades for my recent absence but it’s no excuse, I’ve simply not been focused enough. That’s changing. I now know that if I’m not making progress with the boat then nothing else matters, yes I need to generate income but income without time is worthless to me so Gleda will take priority over everything else this year, the rest will have to follow.
I’ve also decided that this site will become my primary blog and I’ll be widening my writing to cover every aspect of my life as I move towards launch. As many of you know I’ve tried in the past to keep this blog mainly about the build and used other blogs for non build stuff, but as the title of this site suggests it’s actually about the ‘project ‘ and that includes many other things. I hope my regular readers will forgive this approach and I’ll do my best to tag posts appropriately so that readers can filter out stuff they’re not interested in.
As you can see I’m also re-working the site theme as I discovered it wasn’t working on the Google Chrome browser. I’d be grateful if you could let me know if you have any issues with readability and/or layout.
Today I spent a couple of hours in the barn tidying up and dismantling the now redundant cabin top mould. I’ll carry on tomorrow and I’ll soon have everything ready to start work again.
Please bear with me over the next week as I get the site theme and format sorted but please subscribe to my RSS feed or check back regularly as there will be updates everyday.
Thanks for your continued support I look forward to sharing a super exciting 2011 with you.
