1966Hrs – Stargate
I’d planned to spend the afternoon on Gleda but the day went a little pear shaped and I didn’t get home till 4pm. It would have been easy to scrub round going to the barn but I’m determined to maximise my building time as much as possible to keep things moving so after a quick turn round I was out the door and working within 30 minutes.
I’m pleased I did because I got the third and final hatch coaming fitted. It’s in the starboard hull right above the double berth. It’s positioned right over the pillow end of the berth hence the post title ‘Stargate’ because that’s how I’m thinking of this hatch. Imagine lying in bed and being able to look straight up to the sky to take in the breathtaking canopy of stars that are visible out at sea….. another can’t wait item for the list!
