1958Hrs – Back To The Important Work
I laughed out load at Jons recent comment on my ‘Secret Project’ post :
Very clever …. now stop buggering about earning money and get back to the important stuff!!
Thanks Jon, although to be fair I really don’t need any encouragement to get back to the ‘important’ work!
Anyway I’ve put in a few hours over the past couple of days re-acquainting myself with ‘Gleda’ and getting clear on what’s next. I’m going to be cracking on with the glass reinforcing of the port hull and, as time and weather permit I’m going to make a start on sheathing areas of the hulls that are ready for it.
I’ve got the additional timber I need for constructing the beams on order so as soon as that arrives I’ll continue with that job as well.
In the meantime I decided to cut the holes for the portlights and hatches I bought off E-Bay a while back. No poiunt wasting glass and epoxy on ply that’s going to be cut out is there?
I’ve done the two opening portlights on the aft side of the cabin tops and made a start on the hatch over the saloon table. It’s a bit scary putting a jigsaw through my nice cabin tops but once done it’s great to get some light into the cabins.
